Exchange views with The Public Water Company of Makassar on reducing Non-Revenue Water rate

On June 18, Mr. Oshima, CEO of the Suido Technical Service Co. Ltd. (STS) exchanged views with Dr. Hamzah, Acting President Director of the Regional Public Water Company of Makassar City (PDAM), and Heads of Water Supply Management, on measures to reduce the non-revenue water.

At the outset, Dr. Hamzah stated that there is an urgent matter to improve the non-revenue water rate, and that PDAM needs experts who have knowledge and experience. He also insisted on the need to conduct the staff training.

Mr. Oshima introduced the accomplishments of leak investigations and engineer trainings in India, Vietnam, and Bandung, and proposed that a leak investigation and technician training be conducted at the same time as those tailored to Makassar.

Dr. Hamzah explained that the replacement deteriorated water meters is also an urgent issue. PDAM and STS will discuss the introduction of high-performance water meters that STS can provide.

Dr. Hamza and Mr. Oshima confirmed that STS will submit a proposal for leak investigation, engineer training, and water meters and discuss in Makassar soon.
